The Sundarbans was originally measured (about 200 years ago) to be of about 16,700 sq km. Now it has dwindled to about 1/3 of the original size. Because of the partition of India, Bangladesh received about 2/3 of the forest; the rest is on the Indian side. It is now estimated to be about 4,110 sq km, of which about 1,700 sq km is occupied by waterbodies.
Sundarban is the biggest mangrove forest in the world.The forest stretches over Bangladesh and India but Bangladesh has large portion of it.one day I and my friend orko start our journey from Khulna by launch.The journey is 7-9hours.In the middle time we see the deer that play bank side of river inside sundarbon. The scenery looks beautiful and attracts me very much.At last our journey was end and we enter a geust house.
We take some time rest.We went dublarchar in sundarbon that is famous for its beauty all the world.Surreandly we saw the spot where Royalbengal tiger walked in some time ago.we charming and affraid. we talk the local man who coolect honey from inside the forest and sell them in the local marcket. They are called moualli. we went deep point in sundarbon accopanied by mouali.It was big risky but we the we take the risk in laufghably mood.
The moualy collect honey and we attract the bee. We see the man who was injured by tiger we know that every year, some people who go inside the forest fall prey to the Royalbengal tiger,another world famous spices that is facing threa extinction. Getting to see Royalbengal tiger is great opportunity.It was great adventure to me.
